We finally got some heat!

We had a great turnout from all of you, and the weather cooperated too last month for Taqueria Mi Pueblito presenting Thursday Night Lights. Splitting Atoms killed it again and the vibe was great! We followed it up with Coyote Kings and Wasteland Kings. Plus, Picasso had a great 15th birthday bash at the Off.Brand show who thankfully filled in on short notice when Naughty Pine cancelled on us last minute.

We welcome newcomers the Sky Dogs and Dee-Em to our stage this month. We also welcome back local favorites Gary Winston and the Real Deal and Diego Romero! It’s July, and the weather is heating up as well as the bands! We are pushing back doors to 5:30 from 5pm. Music will still be from 6-8pm.

We received some new scores from Antonio Galloni Vinous on our latest Spring Release. No shocker to us they loved our Drink Washington State Carmenere and 2018 Eternal Quest Syrah rating both 92 points. Our 2019 Eternal Evolution Skin Contact White and Eternal Beauty Rose both rated 91 points. 2020 Eternal Lust Albarino and Eternal Patience Roussanne both rated 90 points and the Drink Washington State Riesling was awarded 89. We are now sold out of our Eternal Lust Albarino and Eternal Insight Marsanne. Our rose and Riesling will be added to that list very soon.

Love Syrah like I do? We offer a 3-pack of our single vineyard Syrah’s. All Walla Walla AVA! Native yeast, low production, high flavor wines. These wines retail for $177 normally, on sale for just $165. Use your wine club or military discount to get an even better deal!
2017 Eternal Zen Syrah Les Collines ($59)
2017 Eternal Darkness Syrah Cockburn Ranch ($59)
2016 Eternal Heritage Syrah Morrison Lane ($59)

We had another fantastic PRIDE event, as over 450 people came out to show support. Many thanks to Inclusivo Productions, and Walla Walla Community Pride. We also hosted a Juneteenth party as well last month. This was another fun filled event with dancing, stories, and support with a turnout of 150. Both were truly great events on all levels. Let us host your next event!

Now I want to tell you a behind the scenes story and what I learned from hosting parties like the Pride, and Juneteenth.

Last year when we decided to host the Pride party, we had very mixed feedback from the public. There, of course, were the happy, “Thanks for hosting”, “You have always been great to us” posts. But there was also the “Why are you doing this?”, and the “Are you gay?” posts and comments. It really didn’t bother me at first. Slowly, as the event built up to the date, the amount of people questioning my actions, even other winery owners, had become increasingly annoying. The fact that just for hosting an event for Pride would subject me to this criticism really shocked me. As a direct result of this event last year, we lost 3 wine club members who cited this event in their emails. I thought about what members of the LBGQ+ community must feel on an everyday basis. So, this is the reason I wanted to host the event again: to help build the concept of a loving, non-judgmental community, and personal growth.

So even if I lose more wine club members from it again this year, I have to believe that I will gain more than I lose. Thank you to all that fight the good fight daily.

We do have some out-of-town pouring’s coming up as well, mostly in the Seattle area. From July 8-10th, we will be at Kirkland Uncorked. The following day I will be pouring in a private event for Wine Spectator titled Celebrate Washington. Also, we are at the Bothell Wine Beer Spirits Walk on July 23rd and SIP Kirkland/Summerfest on July 30 & 31st. In addition, I am pouring a winemaker dinner on July 26th at a great Italian spot north of Bellingham. Please come out and taste some new wines.

All wine club orders have been sent out if you are not a pickup client. If you are a pickup client and you haven’t picked up yet, come on down and grab your wine before Josh drinks it on you!

We are open daily 11-5 for walk-in tastings. We would love to see you, and scheduling a tasting is quick and easy! To book a tasting reservation click on this link. (This insures we have a table for your group) https://eternalwine.com/wine-tasting/

Speaking about tastings at the winery: we offer 3 different set tastings daily. These tastings are $15 and waived with a $30 purchase. Tastings are always free to our wine club members and up to 5 guests. Even more, we allow you to select the 5 wines you would like to try with our “Make Your Own Tasting”! This tasting is $20 and waived with a 2-bottle purchase.

Interested in joining our wine club? Free Shipping! We have 3 different tiers. The Sir McCartney is just Eternal Wine selections, the Hexum is a mixture of both labels, and the Petty is just our Drink Washington State label. You can join for free, and it’s just 2 shipments a year: your choice of 6 or 12 bottles. For more information check us out here.
