We have some exciting news to share. We were awarded one of the Fantastic Four wineries by the Washington State Wine Awards. This is an amazing honor, and we couldn’t be prouder. On top of that, I was selected as Washington winemaker of the year. Wow! What an amazing award, and recognition. It’s been an honor to produce award winning wines for over a decade and to have over 300-90-point scores under my belt! To celebrate we are offering 10% off a 6 pack of our wines, and 15% off a case of 12. Please note that due to high temperatures we will hold at the winery until it is safe to ship to you.
I think it’s also important to understand that all this was done and possible without corporate money, cellar hands, or an unlimited budget. We aren’t listed on the stock market. Most of the time when you visit Eternal, you visit with me. Eternal has been my getaway, my passion and my life for the last 11 years. It feels really good to be noticed. This award is a testament that if you work really hard everyday, constantly learn, and be true to yourself, you will succeed.
I have said before, the mark of a true winemaker is how their wines age. For this reason alone the honor of winemaker of the year from this wine competition is more meaningful. They not only review the new releases but also do a 10 year retrospective tasting. Our 2015 wines showed great as did our new wines. With a name like Eternal, I have always thought the wines need to age gracefully. This is one reason I bottle our red wines unfiltered as the wine should evolve and change over time.
Where do you go from here? Well, that question seems laughable to me. We are only 25% of the way through our estate property renovations, with vines going in the ground in 2026. I believe that my best wines are not even grown yet, and I know that I have some mind blowing, face-ripping, jaw dropping wines in the barrel. This is truly just the beginning, and what an honor to be sharing this journey with you! With all this being said, there is no better time to join the good vibes wine club than right now.
